Today I uploaded a video where I play with my new 8" circular Gelli Plate.
I've used about 5 sheets of A4 paper and transparent paint in yellow, burgandy and blue
At the end of the video, I show you a technique to take one of my prints a step further.

For Gelli printing, I've learned....
I'ts better to use transparent paints, unless you want to block out underlying layers.
Don't use too much paint. A thin application will do as you'll have less waste and nicer prints. You'll also be able to work much faster as the paint will dry quicker allowing further layers to be applied
You can use lots of different papers e.g. watercolour paper, sketch paper, computer paper, book pages, deli paper. As long as it can withstand a little bit of wet media. If the paper is particularly delicate, let the paint dry totally in between layers
Lots of homemade or household items can be used for texturing...just make sure that they aren't going to damage the plate.
